Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at University of California Davis. Her name is widely praised for her pioneering the science of eyewitness memory in children and using child victims to serve as witnesses in court. Her publications are numerous She has also received a number of grants, and has been the winner of many awards at the national level and international. She has consulted with various governments and agencies across the globe regarding policy as well as the study of child victimization in the court system. She currently acts as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center located at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She's a member of numerous professional associations, including Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman belongs to the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding member, International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of American Psychological Association's three divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice.
